Pretty good. My fav were the crispy tacos. But it was nice to try two different moles. Mango margarita was good too. I would go back for more. Fast service. Good vibes.

We saw that Los Moles does a buffet on weekends so of course we had to try it! Make sure you get there when they first open at 10AM because it Does get kind of packed as the seating inside is very limited. It's kind of small inside so wherever you sit, you'll constantly have people walking by you to get to the buffet bar. The atmosphere is very cool, i liked how the light fixtures are hanging by pipes and the plates are old school so you kind of feel like you're in Mexico for a bit which feels comfortable. The greeter is loud and makes you feel welcome, constantly talking so you can either hate it or love it. But he was super nice and like i said, makes you feel comfortable like you're at your grandmas home in Mexico. My wife found this place specifically for the cafe de olla and they did not disappoint! Sooooo good, just like my abuela used to make. I think most people know this place for the coffee so you have to make sure to grab a cup or two. The margaritas were okay, nothing special and the bar doesn't seem to have a heavy hand as other bartenders usually hook you up with your drinks. Now to the buffet, it was actually pretty good! I really liked how they had regular rice, and the cilantro green rice. It was my first time trying it and it was tasty! You have the option of whole beans or mashed beans, and allll the different types of Mole. I'm personally a fan of the chipotle mole but what i REALLY came for, was the pozole! I am a Huge fan of pozole and if they have it wherever i am, i will partake. I give this pozole a 7.5 out of 10. The caldo wasn't as tasteful as others that i had, the only thing i liked about it was how the hominy were bigger in size than most. What i really look forward to next time however, is the taco tuesday special that i see they offer. It's kind of tough since the place is kind of out of the way for me, but perhaps one day i can get a random tuesday off to try it. Unlimited tacos please!

Stopped by here on a whim for lunch a few weekends ago with my girlfriend - we were very pleasantly surprised We arrived a little after noon on a Sunday - the place was fairly crowded but there was still room and plenty of tables for other parties. We were greeted and then promptly seated. The restaurant itself is fairly quaint - there are a bunch of tables indoors and a few tables for outdoor seating as well. As you walk in , you can see a buffet table to the right (It appears that is a brunch option that is provided on weekends) For our meal we decided to go a la carte and order individual items. We started with Chips and Salsa and some micheladas. For our entrees I got a Burrito Mojado with Carnitas and Mole Mama Luisa (Mole Rojo) and my girlfriend got Enmoladas with Mole Pepian. The chips and salsa were fairly standard but we found our drinks and entree's to be exceptional. The Mole sauces in each of our dishes were complex and delicious - some of the best mole I've had since visiting Mexico city last summer. We thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and there was definitely plenty for leftovers too. The drinks were also fantastic - the house michelada was the best I have had in a while and the La Niña Fresa Michelada my girlfriend got was a fun sweet take on a michelada. All in all, we had a great experience here. Seeing as how we barely scratched the surface of the menu, I'm eager to come back and explore the other items (and moles). They also have a Tuesday Happy Hour and AYCE Tacos.... which sounds incredible. I'll be back here for sure. Food : 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Overall: 5/5

SERVICE: No lie the service started off very shaky and I was unsure if it was just busy because it was taco Tuesday or because they had one waitress seating people. So it did take us a few minutes, but I think 15-20mins is standard waiting time to be seated. Outside seating looked very peaceful also! FOOD: This was the moment of truth because when we went to For The Culture I had hyped it up and it was not it. So I was a bit nervous with Los Moles, but let me tell you that food was so flipping good! I literally had 11 tacos. This is a TRUE Taco Tuesday location for you and your friends or a date! They literally give you unlimited tacos as much as you can take for only $14 per person and the drinks were delicious. Having the Mezcal margaritas which were delicious as well! This location Los Moles is definitely at the top of the list as a favorite Taco Tuesday restaurant. Have flavor in all the meats, my favorite was the steak although the chicken was extremely good! LOCATION: It is in a really peaceful location of emeryville. This is TRUE Emeryville, not Emeryville that is on the edge of Berkeley or Oakland. Parking is somewhat of a challenge but not that much. ALL IN ALL I RECOMMEND!

Los Moles is the BEST Mexican food in Emeryville and El Cerrito. This was my first time to the Emeryville location and it was packed! Not a huge restaurant so be prepared to wait. If you love mole you must try this restaurant. They have a buffet of all you eat Mole for $25 with different kinds of protein and different mole dishes and a fruit bar. Also, it's graduation time and there are many of large parties so be prepared to wait or try this place during the week. The crispy tacos were delicious as well and so was their refried beans. So delicious! Look forward to trying this place again.

I'm a mole Junkie and I love this song: La cumbia del mole by Lila Downs. Here is a rough translation. ...I like to try the mole that Soledad is goin' to grind O my darlin' Soledad, she's gonna cook a molito By the skies of my Monte Alban, at night I'm dreaming to see you You first need to get the peanuts, you get the salt and the bread You grind and you fry the chilies, you try the chocolate Get cinnamon and banana, get cloves and oregano Get thyme and the blackest pepper You grind it in México, óye, grind it Grind it... I've been wanting to try this place for years. I ride my bicycle through this neighborhood regularly. (But keep in mind they have Taco's Tuesdays from all you can eat from 4pm to 9:00pm!) I ordered three soft tacos, handmade corn tortillas with chorizo, cilantro, onions, refried beans, red rice, queso fresco, chiles toreados, salsa de la casa. The chorizo was super flavorful. I think this plate is worth ordering again. It's a lot of food so come hungry. So what about the Mole? They offer well over 10 Moles for Lunch and Dinner. For lunch one can choose a Mole that is paired with two enchiladas w/ your choice of seafood, organic shredded chicken, shredded beef, vegetables or cheese, choice of mole sauce, arroz verde, queso fresco, refried beans & sour cream. Next time, I'll come back and try a Lunch or Dinner with one of their Moles. A super nice shout out to the lady that served me. She was gracious to give me a taste of the Mole Poblano from their family recipe made w/ seven different types of chile peppers, cinnamon & chocolate. Over 50 ingredients Excellent! Matt says if you are in the Emeryville neighborhood, check out Los Moles hecho en casa

If you're ever in the mood for delicious Mole and good margaritas check out Los Moles. The service omg unbelievable as soon as we sit down un Señor amable takes our drinks and appetizer order. Very helpful waiter and very friendly. I asked for his opinion on the moles and he mentioned all of the Moles basically are award winning . We started off with chips and guacamole as our appetizer. Delicious. We had mango margaritas and it was so on point that we ordered a second round. I ordered the Pipian and the flavor was the best Pipian I've had. Not too tart and not too bland it was perfection along with a side of cilantro rice. Hubby ordered the carnitas and the flavor was all there absolutely delicious. They weren't greasy at all and our food arrived not even five minutes after we ordered our food. The best service I've seen on a Saturday night. Muchísimas gracias al señor que nos atendió y a la señor de la bara. El servicio, comida y tragos excelente. Visitamos de Sacramento y pronto regresamos de nuevo. Highly recommend trying Los Moles you won't regrets it. The handmade corn tortillas were also delicious. The music playing was also awesome a lot of 80's and 90's tunes that went well with dinner. A lot of feel good songs. Parking was on street park but the area felt very safe. We'll be back.

My friend had been seeing this place float around on instagram and suggested that we try it for lunch on a Sunday. When we got there, we left our names with the host and were told there would be a 30min wait. Just enough time for me to go next door to Wondrous Brewing for a beer to help me wait. Once we were seated, we opted for the weekend buffet option, which is around $25 per person. They do have an extensive a la carte menu if you decide on that instead of the buffet. Their drink menu is awesome and they have a full bar (beer, wine, spirits). My friend got a Paloma and I ordered some mezcal, both were awesome. If you don't know what to order, just ask the server, which is what I did and got a tasty recommendation for the mezcal. The buffet is SO awesome! There's birria and carnitas, multiple varieties of mole (with a vegan option too!) and beans, rice and tortillas, a salsa/toppings bar, self-serve tortilla chip station, and a self-serve pozole/menudo station. Idk if words are gonna do this place justice because my food was absolutely delicious and very filling. I played around with the different types of meat and moles on my plate. I also had the pozole which was delicious, and my friend loved her menudo. There's outdoor seating available if you'd like. My only complaint was that it was a little loud inside the restaurant to the point where I had to yell across the table just for my friend to hear me. Other than that, this place is perfect for a Sunday brunch (especially if you are hungover). We are definitely coming back! 4.5/5

This review is for their weekend buffet (only on Sat and Sun, 10am - 8pm). I like getting there right at 10am when they open so I get first pick and also don't have to wait for a seat. You have the option to opt for a la carte which will be the menu they hand you. However you can tell them you are there for the buffet and that "menu" is at the very bottom of the a la carte menu - super easy to miss! But the menu includes drinks from their full bar, which is probably why they hand it to you. At $25/pp, I still find this a steal especially for good food in the Bay Area. There is at least 8 varieties of moles that you can choose from which spicy and non spicy versions. Honestly, I come for their carnitas and birria. It is chefs kiss and always so juicy. The fact that they have green rice and mexican rice, I can die in carb heaven. There is also chilaquiles, this amazing mexican cinnamon coffee, meundo and pozole, a whole toppings bar, plus house made chips, salsa, and to finish off with some fruit. It is AYCE and the staff does a fantastic job of clearing the plates off your table to get more. It has such great vibes inside and the staff are friendly! Great for groups and I always see families rolling in deep!
